Support the Design Team Leaders and Design Managers in the preparation of Engineering Department's outputs (design development, design detailing, As-Built drawings, etc.). Develop and institutionalize Nesma's Engineering database, know-how, controls, and capabilities. Monitor Drawing Schedule and Study CADD and Engineering Hours. Study different architectural proposals for projects. Ensure that ISO procedures are followed correctly for Engineering Department. Study Building Classification and Architectural Life Safety Requirements based on International Codes for NFPA101 and IBC. Review the submitted Architects CVs; conduct interviews and submit evaluation reports to Head of Engineering Department. Conduct periodical Internal Coordination meetings with Architectural Team to monitor the Engineering progress for each project, and comply with Engineering Submittal Schedules. Review Architect/Engineer proposals and verify for compliance with project requirements; review plans, specifications, and engineering schedules in line with construction schedule. Ensure effective utilization of the Department’s budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered. Monitor day to day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures. Ensure Compliance with all relevant safety, health and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across activities in order to guarantee safety, legislative compliance and responsible environmental behaviors.
